Possibly, though it is not clear whether you are talking about cosmetic or ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. I would suspect this discomfort will go away with time. Hopefully, you are applying Arnica twice daily and wearing at least a compression sock.

It is not uncommon to have some tender areas after sclerotherapy. It is unusual to have a burning area, but it is possible. If you are not satisfied with your doctor's explanation, you might consider a second doctor's opinion.

The medication used for sclerotherapy may irritate the skin and cause pain or burning. Patients with sulfa allergies are more prone to allergic reactions.

No, it is not normal. More likely a nerve was involved during the treatment.

It is possible to have a temporary burning sensation in and around a sclerotherapy site. It is not common and normally, it should go away within a few days. The inflammation from the treatment drug typically causes a localized irritation of the nerves in and around the treated site. The result is the burning sensation. If the pain does not resolve, then it means that somehow the sclerotherapy damaged a cutaneous nerve resulting in the long lasting burning sensation.

Depends on where the sclerotherapy was done and what type.

Yes, it is possible to experience this type of sensation after sclerotherapy, especially in the first 24-48 hours following the procedure. Often it is related to normal post-treatment inflammation, extravasation (spillage) of the medicine into the tissue, and inadvertent injection into an arterial capillary. If it is occurring later, it may be associated with other causes. I would recommend having it checked by your physician to be sure it is not related to your treatment.

This can occur from irritation of the nerves in the area either from the sclerotherapy solution or the needles that are used for the injections. This should improve with time.
