Did I hurt my jugular vein/ cause a blood clot by squeezing a bump near it? The vein has hurt for days since.

I had a bump on my neck. I squeezed it, not thinking about the area I was squeezing. Ever since, the vein which I believe is the Internal Jugular Vein hurts. Should I ask for an ultrasound to rule out issues?

It would be extremely rare for a blood clot to form from squeezing something next to the jugular vein. Before obtaining an ultrasound, I would recommend you first see your PMD or vein specialist. Ultrasound is very easy to do, if necessary.

I had an ultrasound that says the bilateral greater saphenous veins are closed, and the lesser saphenous veins are closed. Findings are the GSVs and LSVs are bilaterally closed, no perforator veins are visible, all deep veins of BLE appear patent and compressible. What is the treatment for this?

And also stated on paperwork “ultrasound shows old right gastrocnemius blood clot, treatment guidelines are very controversial.” He injured his leg four weeks ago and two weeks ago tremendous pain started. It’s weaned but he had his ultrasound today and the clot was found. No blood thinners prescribed. Bloodwork was ordered. But he was told he could travel for business on Sunday. I am very concerned. Is this a normal timeline of treatment?

I am 31 yrs old and had a C-section on Dec 25th, 2017. For the last 2 months I've been experiencing pain in my left hip and back of the upper-thigh in the morning when I wake up. It subsides after a few hours. I also experience a tingling sensation in my foot. I am overweight and I used to breastfeed my baby mostly lying on my left side. Can this be the reason or is it something else? I am worried.

The swelling looks about the same. I’m just experiencing more pain. There's no redness or tenderness on the leg, and no warmth either.
